When Did Gate Launch?

Originally launched as Bter (or Bter.com) in 2013, the exchange was rebranded to Gate.io in late 2017 under the management of Gate Technology Inc. In 2025, Gate announced a major brand upgrade with a brand new Chinese name "Damen" (大门, meaning "The Gate").
